i think that the farther the distance you have, the speed will increase. this is because gravity is pulling it down with force(speed).

But when I was doing the experiment in the lab, it seems that as the distance has increased, the time for all the dominoes was also increased and thus this shows that the speed for the dominoes to fall decreased.

How are distance time and speed related?

Speed=distance/time. Speed is in meters per second if distance is in meters, and time is in seconds. Using simple algebra, the equation can be rearranged to solve for a missing variable (speed, distance, or time). therefore: distance=speed x time time= distance/speed

How do you work out the distance traveled by using speed and time?

speed = distance/time therefore: distance = speed x time example: speed = 3m/h time = 6 hours 3 x 6 = 18m = distance travelled

How can you calculate the distance traveled by object?

The distance traveled by an object can be calculated using the formula: distance = speed x time. Simply multiply the object's speed by the time it has been traveling to find the distance covered.

What formula do you use in science to find the distance?

In science, you can calculate distance using the formula: distance = speed × time. This formula relates the distance traveled by an object to its speed and the time it takes to travel that distance.

How do you calculate speed using distance and time?

Distance divided by speed will give you the time it took to travel the distance.

What is the formula for in algebra for solving problems using the distance formula?

distance= speed x time

How do you calculate the distance travelled?

The distance traveled can be calculated using the formula: distance = speed × time. Ensure that the speed is in consistent units with the time measurement. For example, if speed is in kilometers per hour and time is in hours, the resulting distance will be in kilometers. If the speed varies, you may need to integrate speed over time to get the total distance.

What should be pre-determined before using dead reckoning to reach your objective?

Before using dead reckoning, you should pre-determine your starting point, destination, heading or course to follow, and the speed at which you will be traveling. It is also important to account for any factors that may affect your direction or speed, such as wind or currents, in order to accurately navigate using dead reckoning.

How can you calculate the distance using the formula?

There are several formulae for different cases. For the case of a constant speed, use the formula: distance = speed x time.

How do dominoes and trains interact in a game or activity?

In a game or activity, dominoes and trains can interact by using dominoes to create a track for toy trains to run on. Players can set up the dominoes in a line or pattern, and then watch as the train moves along the track, knocking down the dominoes in its path. This can create a fun and interactive experience that combines the elements of building and movement.

What 2 variables are used to calculate speed?

Speed is calculated using two variables: distance and time. The formula for speed is defined as speed = distance/time. By measuring how far an object travels over a specific period, you can determine its speed.

How can you explain an object's motion using time and distance?

An objects speed or motion is measured by distance divided by time.
