It would depend on the driver's habits and the vehicle. I would recommend they be inspected by a mechanic every 10K or once a year.
Local mechanics or even places such as AutoZone O'Reilys etc. will inspect and often offer an estimate on fixes or repairs if they are needed for you vehicle.
