Good Advice above and you are being misinformed. Work permits have not been issued in the UK since 2008. They have been replaced by sponsorship and a 5 tier points system. Your employer must have a Sponsors Licence before they can offer you a position. Then you need to fill in the relevant forms and satisfy the Immigration agencies before you are allowed to take up the position.
