Yes, you do, unless you travel on military flights both ways (there are scheduled and unscheduled flights from Futenma to Osan and sometimes Seoul, but you'd have to fly Apce-A, on 'puddle jumpers' without a lot of space). You should have been able to obtain an 'orders' passport before arriving in Okinawa; since apparently you didn't, talk to someone in Legal about applying for one from where you are, via the US Consul. Generally, once in country your ID Card is good, but it won't get you through Japanese or Korean civilian Customs and Immigration unless you're traveling on orders.
Yes
Depends on where the Service Member is being stationed.
You have to be a paid Moshi Member to get a passport.
Only way you can is if you're an active duty member of the military, stationed in South Carolina.
Generally families are not allowed to accompany military members to South Korea. The military member will get family separation pay while stationed there.
You Can't. You Have To Be A Member To Have The Passport. Sorry!
You only have a passport if your a member
The term "sponsor" on a military ID refers to the individual who is responsible for the service member and their family members while they are stationed at a particular military installation. This person assists with administrative matters, provides guidance, and ensures the family's needs are met while the service member is serving their duty.
Yes. All US citizens need a passport to travel outside the country. Most military family members are eligible for a no-fee official passport is their move is covered by official movement orders (usually called PCS - Permanent Change of Station).
You cannot look in the passport. It is just a passport sign you can put up in your room so that others know you are [or were] a paid Member!!
You have to be a paid Moshi Member or have been a paid Moshi Member to get a passport. You will find it in your room after you sign in as a paid Moshi Member.
