No, you would want to join the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6). They have spies who work overseas. However, if you're thinking about joining to become an intelligence officer, you'll want to become extremely fluent in atleast two languages excluding English. Don't forget, though, that there are many qualities required in order to become a spy - acting ability, trustworthiness, et cetera.

If you think you meet all these qualities and have such ambitions, you should consider making a formal application to join the service.

Remember, though, that spying is nothing like what is portrayed in Bond films. You are not issued firearms or high-tech Aston Martins, and a successful intelligence gathering operation involves getting the information required without anyone realising.

You would also be subject to the Official Secrets Act 1989 and so you wouldn't be any boasting or bragging about your job (unless you want to get arrested, of course). You would mainly be acting as an ordinary civilian, but you could be asked to perform infiltration operations.

But despite the fact that you wouldn't be getting high-tech Aston Martins, they may issue certain technology such as military-grade communications. However, as such things may jeopardise covert operations, you would probably just be handed an iPhone and be flung off to Spain or somewhere.
