Yes and no;if you eat mould it can make you sick, but if there was no mould dead bodies wouldn't decay. If there was no such thing as mould there would be no space to bury anyone in the graveyard. Then there'd be piles of the stuff. The germs collecting on the dead bodies attracting many rats and flies would be hazardous for both our health and our eyes!!!!!

Is mold a chemical hazard?

Mold is not typically classified as a chemical hazard; rather, it is a biological hazard. Mold consists of fungi that can produce allergens, irritants, and mycotoxins, which can pose health risks, particularly in sensitive individuals. While some molds can produce harmful chemicals, the primary concern regarding mold is its potential to cause respiratory issues and allergic reactions rather than being a chemical hazard in itself. Proper remediation and prevention are essential to minimize exposure and health risks associated with mold growth.
