im really confused because some people say that blockbuster hires 14 year olds and some people say they don't. but what i would really like to know is what places are the best for a 14 year old girl to work and gets a decent salary.

* Baby Sitting long term or the one off.

* Some people like having younger people as assistants in small stores * Or you could think of teaching young kids.( things that your goood at e.g. Languages, dance, a musical instrument.

* Or a preschool/kindergarten assistant

There are lots of options out there you just have to pluck up the courage to ask someone.

I am 14 and am considering working, there are lots of places you can work but it all depends on your local bylaw's. Legally you can work from the age of 13 whilst getting paid, however the down fall is there is no minimum wadge for teenagers. Also you can only work 5 hours a day on a weekend, 3 hours a day on school days (this is not the same for school holidays though). If you work on a school day you a required to inform your school.

These are some good examples of jobs you can get:

• A paper round
• A local store
• Helping at a business your family runs ( e.g working on a family farm)
• Helping a milk man on his rounds
• Working as a model, singer or actress or something along those lines.

those are just a few but I'm sure there are more.

Yup. Caddying. You can even start at 10! It pays AMAZINGLY. $50 for a loop. 1 loop= 18 holes= 4 hours. :) Look for your nearest Country Club or Golf Course.
