OK let an example to understand the restoring torque.....let an iron piece of material and wound it with an metallic wire and as the metallic wire is connect with an 2 pole in which there is a magnetic bar is placed ....now supply on and due to the electromagnetic induction process the bar is displace...their position... as the 2 pole is consider as the north pole and the south pole ...so when bar is displace..then if it want to attains their original.....position then the force it require called as the restoring force....

Restoring couple=as the coil turns under the action of deflecting torque, the suspension wire is twisted which give rise to torsional couple, which tends to untwist the suspension wire and restore the original position. This couple is known as restoring couple.. Restoring couple =t=C Φ
Simply put 'torque' is a measure of rotational force.
If you mean "what does torque mean", then it means it's the amount of twisting power your tires will have. Horse power is speed and torque is strength. Torque is like leverage, the bigger the throw on a flywheel, the more torque you have ( meaning more towing power or getting going power).
torque basically is wat i mean to say.itz jst a twisting movement..
There is a probelm with the automatic transmissions torque converter.
You mean the lug nuts? 80 foot pounds if you mean that. Most Hondas are 80 for the wheel torque
If you mean engine performance, then it has 240 hp and 280 lbs of torque
Did you mean, what is the meaning of torque? If that is what you really want to know, torque(a.k.a moment of force) is a tendency or capability of force to rotate/twist an object about an axis, fulcrum, or pivot.
The resisting torque in a turning moment diagram is the torque opposing the applied torque or force, usually due to friction or other resistance in a system. It is represented by the downward curve or line in the turning moment diagram, indicating the counteracting force against the applied torque. The difference between the applied torque and resisting torque determines the net torque or moment acting on the system.
