Just to be hired you must possess a high school diploma, and some departments may require an Associates Degree. You must have no criminal record and possess a valid drivers license (never convicted of DUI), and then pass a mental, psychiatric, and physical examination.
After that, your agency or department will send you through training and school which will teach you everything you need to know in order to pass your state's certification test for law enforcement officers.
No you dont need to be spanish to serve as a police officer in Spain as long as you know A little Spanish I think you should be ok
About 22 years. Becoming a police chief takes many years and numerous promotions after the initial position as patrol officer. Because each department only has one chief and that person might stay in the position for many years, a police officer might need to move to a different department to become chief. There is the possibility of jumping/skipping through the ranks which could make the journey to chief a little faster but on average, an officer might spend five years on patrol, 10 years as sergeant, five years as lieutenant, two years as assistant chief and finally a promotion to police chief. I don't know for sure, but if they have take home cars that they are allowed to drive in their off time, I would imagine that means that they are always on duty.AnswerYes, in California it is totally legal for an off-duty officer to issue you a citation. It will usually come in the mail or they will have a marked patrol unit pull you over. If s/he elects to have you pulled over by a marked patrol unit, then after the officer contacts you, the off duty officer will issue the ticket. Also, a police officer in California has "Police Powers" anywhere in the State of California. I know this because I am a police officer in California and have written several citations while "off duty".
they use guns (pistol), handcuffs,patrol cars,tazers,computers motorcycle,boat
No because a victim might speak a different language.
There is border patrol...and different names for street patrol
(in the US) graduation from high school is sufficient to qualify for employment as a police officer. Therefore -the answer would be that whatever math is taught in secondary school is sufficient to become a police officer.

I recently got caught with weed and they gave me a court date. As of my understanding it was just a misdemeanor. Ive always wanted to become a police officer and i know it will hurt my chances but iv'e read elsewhere that you can still get in. So, do i have a chance?
I don't know what or if there is a term regarding this but I do know that the minor doesn't have to answer any of the questions the police officer asks. You have the right to remain silent even if the police officer has authority. It's not a law that you must answer all questions the police officer asks you.
