I have found nothing to indicate that he ever did. While Native Alaskans had explored it for thousands of years, the Russians are generally credited with being the "first" to explore Alaska, several centuries after Galileo.
When the exploration of the "New World" the most famous exploits are those of the Europeans. The British explored and acquired Canada. However, from the other side, the Russians explored and laid claim to the region of Alaska. Alaska was then later bought by the United States.
