I have some lazy co-workers who constantly give us non-lazy people insight into their world. They say that they aren't going to exert themselves anymore than necessary because no one appreciates it and they just want to work their hours, put forth only what is necessary and then go home. I don't get it, but that is what they tell me.
They may not be lazy but simply be dis-illusioned, and don't really like their work, then but they don't expect to find anything better, are afraid of a change going wrong, so they don't work towards their real dreams? Some may not think that work life is the "real" thing but a "must". They have a low self-motivation towards work. If they had someone praising them, maybe they would be more eager to do the work?
