Fire needs oxygen (O2), and when you pour CO2 on the flame, it replaces the oxygen, and the combustion in the flame can no longer happen.
Kind of the same principle of why you can't breath underwater. You nor a flame can breath CO2 or water.
Carbon dioxide (CO2) is the gas often used to put out fires, especially in fire extinguishers.
Because water is better to use to put out fires than sand.
Because the three things that are needed to start a fire is fuel oxygen and a source of heat. The co2 takes the place of the oxygen and puts it out
The CO2 or the dry Chemicals can be used to extinguish Liquid Fire, though other extinguishes can be used like halogen extinguishers, BUT the halogen is doesn't help as much as it harms, because it causes a toxic gas, and there is Foam extinguishers they come handy too.
there is a specle fire extinguisher that is for elecrical fires ... DONT USE WATER
Yes
Water, foam, powdered chemicals like sodium bicarbonate
No, they used water.
i would use a carbon dioxide fire extinguisher which works well on all fires
They give off a lot of CO2.
Firefighter's job is to put out fires and to rescue people.
Water, and compressed air as a propellant.
