Well, I can tell you this much, I have been living in the Commonwealth for my entire life and I will tell you its very risky. I’m not sure off the top of my head but I read the Virginia laws regarding weapons, quite some years ago. Expandable Batons, Brass Knuckles, Butterfly Knives, Throwing Cards/Knives are all basically under the deadly weapons list. I had a friend in 2006 who was caught with brass knuckles, he didn’t receive a” possession of a deadly weapons charge”, but instead “Possession of brass knuckles?” In Virginia it seems they just make the up laws year after year. Id say sure if It makes you feel safer, carry it. Just don’t get caught.

Police batons are typically made from materials such as wood, metal, or polymer composites. Wooden batons are often made from hardwoods like oak, while metal batons are usually crafted from aluminum or steel for durability. Polymer batons are lightweight and resistant to corrosion, making them a popular choice in modern law enforcement. Each material offers different benefits in terms of weight, strength, and ease of use.
