Kansas City is in both states indeed (I live in Kansas). The majority and most of the attractions of Kansas city are on the Missouri side including the home of the nfl's chiefs, and mlb's royals. also home to the downtrown kansas city area. the kansas side is the smaller city with less attractions but still some including the home of the mls's wizards and a greatwolf lodge, schlitterbahn waterpark resort and the kansas speedway. KCK population=142,500 KCMO population=480,000. That should say it all right there. They kansas side is no more than a suburb of the kansas city MISSOURI metro. I live here on the kansas side.

No. Walt Disney's family purchased and lived on a farm, in Missouri, when Walt was about 5 years old. The family then moved to Kansas city when Walt was about 9 years old, after Walt's father purchased a Kansas City Star newspaper route. Neither Walt Disney nor his family were farmers. The family just happened to own a farm, in the process of attempts at making an income for the family.

The Kansas-Nebraska Act of 1854 effectively undermined the Missouri Compromise by allowing the territories of Kansas and Nebraska to determine their own status regarding slavery through popular sovereignty. The Missouri Compromise had previously established a boundary line at the 36°30′ parallel, north of which slavery was prohibited. By permitting the possibility of slavery in areas where it had previously been banned, the Kansas-Nebraska Act reignited tensions between pro-slavery and anti-slavery factions, contributing to the sectional conflict leading up to the Civil War.
