I have had 3+ professional jobs the key is to never list living where the conviction occurred. I have 3 misdemeanors from when I was younger, and from working with and being a hiring manager let me tell you, 1 most of these background checks wont locate your conviction, 2 never list it ,3 they wouldn't ask if their system was full proof. Lie and never tell a cohort where you grew up or your middle name and you will be butter. Only support the system if you feel the prison complex is fair. Land of the impoverished, imprisoned and enslaved We have more people in jail than any other country in the world including china.

When applications ask for felonies then do do you have to answer 'yes' if you have a misdemeanor?

A speeding ticket is a misdemeanor and you don't need to declare it if you are asked if you've been found guilty of any felonies. If an application is asking about felonies, that's all they want to know. Misdemeanors are a completely different class of crimes and as such usually need not be reported. So the answer is "No", you don't have to report a misdemeanor if the application is asking about felonies. Answer no, you don't. There are some applications that ask about misdemeanors and traffic tickets more than a certain amount ($100, $200, etc.) . Unless they specifically ask about that, you don't report it. Also - not all traffic citations are even misdemeanors.

Are misdomeaners serious crimes?

In the scheme of things, misdemeanors are middle of the road crimes, more trouble than forfeitures, less than felonies. Keep in mind that misdemeanors can prevent employment in some professions, etc. And they are still not good to have on your record. The best bet is to just not do anything illegal, then we don't have to ask these types of questions.

Can you get a job with a misterminer on you record?

Yes, You can! By the way, its spelled misdemeanor. Most jobs wont even look at misdemeanor charges when they do a background check and in most states and circumstances, its actually against the law for your employer to ask about misdemeanors or put them into consideration for employment. Now felonies are another story, but even with them, you can still be employed, just your occupations can be limited by them depending on the felony.

How do you go about getting misdemeanors removed?

go to the court building ask to file a pardon

Will a misdemeanor conviction show up on a background check in NY?

In my experience yes, unless you ask for a deferred judgment at the time of your trial (in Iowa you have to ask at the time of your trial in order for them to be expunged or erased from your criminal history). In other states you can pay after your trial or sentencing to get your records expunged but it may be a certain amount of time I'm not sure. I was informed only certain felonies and misdemeanors can be expunged. Most juvenile records are expunged or expungable. I was also informed that most agencies can not release any negative information that is 7 years or older. Some companies only go back 5 years. Some marijuana charges can not be exposed if more than 2 years old in certain states. I say google a lot of information, ask your local legal aide ( you can look up the number) Workforce centers or job services usually have some information.

With how many felonies can you have to join the marines?

How do you check if your elligble to own a handgun?

in a very general sense, you can't check on it. However, in general, if you don't have any felonies, misdemeanors, and are at least 21 years old, you are elligible in most states, and by federal law. Basically, you go into a gun shop and try to buy a gun. They run a background check on you, and if you pass, you can buy the gun. A few states have specific state requirements. For example, if you live in Illinois, you must first obtain a FOID (Firearm Owner ID) card from the state. Probably the best place to start is to go into a reputable local gun shop and ask someone there.

Can you have a misdemeanor drug charge for marijiuana and a felony for creditdebit card abuse and still become a nurse I want to make sure before I make nursing my major in college.?

Misdemeanors are separate from felonies. They are not as serious. Also, they do not have to be reported to employers. On the other hand, felonies come up when you are applying for a job. Employers DO ask you if you have ever been convicted of a felony? And about this, you can't lie. They can find out. Credit / debit card abuse is something else. Depends on what you mean. Did you abuse your own card or someone else's card? You need to be more specific.

Is receiving an MIC ticket considered being convicted of a crime as it concerns job applications?

On applications, when they ask "have you been convicted of a crime?" look at the statements written below. They describe the situations that will fall into the catagorie of being "convicted." Recieving an MIC ticket is not a convicted crome. The ones that are, arr mainly felonies. I have two misdemeanors, and never have I had to answer yes to that question...I even went as far as to ask the policeman who gave me them if I had to answer yes, and he told me no. Good luck.

Can felonies wear bullet proof vest?

I think the question you are wanting to ask is "Can felons wear bulletproof vests?" a felony (plural felonies) is "A grave crime, such as murder, rape, or burglary, that is punishable by death or imprisonment in a state or federal facility." as such, felonies are incapable of wearing a bulletproof vest as they have no physical body. That being said, the answer to your question will vary by state.

When employers ask if you have been convicted of a crime does that included misdemanors?

Yes, misdemeanors ARE crimes, and it is probably better that you disclose them rather than have them unexpectedly find them in your records.
