How do you change an amendment to the constitution?

There are two ways to propose an amendment to the constitution.

1. get 2/3 of both houses in congress to agree
2. through a constitutional convention called by 2/3 of state legislatures

if amendment is approved by either of the two above groups, then it has to be ratified. there are 2 ways

1. 3/4 of legislatures in states must ratify
2. 3/4 of the states must have individual constitutional conventions to ratify.

In order to add an amendment, Congress had to propose it with 2/3 vote, than 3/4 of State legislature have to approve it.
