There a a few reference points you can use for this.

First, the divider line on the left will be in the corner of your windshield,

The line on the right would be just right of the center of your hood.

If it is a curb on the right you see, it will be about a foot to the left of the corner of the windshield.

These reference points are for drivers sitting on the left side of the vehicle.

If you live where you sit on the the right side of your vehicle driving, just reverse these reference points.

Other reference points include looking in either side mirror, if you see about 1 inch of ground between your vehicle and the line you are centered in your lane.

Still other drivers look above the top of their steering wheel. It should look centered in the lane if your car in centered in your lane.

How do i know if throttlebody is bad?

If the TPI (throttle position sensor) is bad, you will have a fault code set in the computer. To check it, with a scope, graph the signal while opening/closing the throttle. The signal should be a smooth wave, if there are any dips, the sensor should be replaced. The contact can wear in the position the blades are at during normally driving, especially if you many due highway constant speed driving.

Is the setting important for the book Wake by Lisa Mcmann?

yes because you need to know where Janie is, dreams or real life, and so you can picture the place in your mind you also know what position she is in, if she gets sucked into a dream in study hall, not a big deal. if she gets to a dream while she is driving, you should know that she was in her car, on the road going back to her house.
