It is five years in Utah. i tried to get it sooner. I met an appeal board, showed proof that the arrest record was fraudulent in many instances. They thanked me for my time and said they would mail me their decision. It was NO!!! The two men who reviewed my evidence were both retired law enforcement officers. I could tell that they were annoyed at me when I explained that the two officers had fabricated much of the arrest record. Be that as it may, I will be eligeble in June 2011. I hate lying cops! It nearly cost me my job, and cost me about 3K total. I have lost much respect for Utah law enforcenent officers because of this.
The main causes for car accidents are reckless and negligent driving and alcohol.
In Washington State, an alcohol-related offense, such as a DUI, typically remains on your driving record for 15 years from the date of the offense. However, if you are charged with a lesser offense, like a reckless driving conviction related to alcohol, it may stay on your record for up to 5 years. It's important to note that while these offenses can affect insurance rates and driving privileges, they may not always be visible to all entities after a certain period.
The term aggressive driving covers a range of unsafe driver behaviors. State laws define what constitutes aggressive driving and stipulate the related fines and penalties. In California, the reckless driving laws include actions similar to those defined as "aggressive" by other states. So in CA, I believe the ticket would be "reckless".
Drunken driving is the leading cause of alcohol related death.

I know from reading and researching that about 1/3 of vehicle fatalities were due to drunk driving with a blood alcohol level above .08 percent in 2006. The attached website has detailed info on not only US statistics but also drunk driving statistics categorized by state. what's 'alcohol related' is the question. if a non driving passenger is under the influence the accident is listed as 'alcohol related'.

In South Dakota, a reckless driving charge typically remains on your driving record for five years. After this period, it may be eligible for expungement, depending on the circumstances. However, it can still be visible to certain entities, such as insurance companies or employers, even after the five-year mark. Always consult with a legal professional for specific guidance related to your situation.
