There were around 30 young children that lived within the 'family'. Not all of them were born into the 'family'. Some came with their mothers, Manson's followers, and some were born into the family, though I doubt that the mothers ever knew who the fathers were.
It was Manson Family policy that everyone had sex with everyone else, and frequently, so I doubt they were much concerned with paternity. As to how many were actually Charles Manson's may never be known. Those children are now middle-aged, some may not even know of their strange time in the family. It may be a good thing if they don't remember.
Susan Atkins, (died of brain cancer in 2009), Patricia Krenwinkle, Leslie Van Houten, Charles 'Tex' Watson and of course Charles Manson. *Bobby Beausoleil was arrested prior to the above family members for the murder of music teacher Gary Hinman. Hinman's murder preceeded the Tate-LaBianca killings by several weeks and was initially not associated with other Manson family murders. All of the above mentioned Manson family members have requested parole numerous times and all attempts have been refused by the California Parole Board.
Among other things Manson was convicted of eight counts of first degree murder and eight counts of conspiracy to commit murder for the August 1969 Tate-LaBianca murders. Originally given the death penalty he is serving a life sentence in Corcoran State Prison in California. Although Manson has tried for parole many times he is unremorseful and basically unchanged and will most likely die in prison. He also might be out on parole next year as of this year he is 76 and still alive google him you'll find a picture
He provided a 3 day time period where their family members could appeal their conviction.
Conspiracy to commit murder mean getting together with a bunch of other guys and planning to bump someone off even if you dont do it. If is also just being with someone who commits murder and you don't say a word or even helping with murder.
Manson was convicted of the Tate-LaBianca murders which occured on August 8 and 9, 1969. He also ordered the killing of music teacher Gary Hinman but I have never heard if charges were ever brought against him for Hinman's murder. Manson and his 'family' are suspected in many more killings but with many there is a lack of evidence, some there is a lack of a body. People that crossed Manson's path many times just disappeared.
No.
The murders he was convicted of occured on August 9 & 10, 1969. But there were other victims that seldom get mentioned in the mainstream media. Music teacher Gary Hinman was murdered before the August 1969 killings, and he was not alone. Police are still searching for bodies hidden in the desert east of Los Angeles. Many will probably never be found.
It's impossible for convicted capital murder to have that record expunged.
All were found guilty of multiple counts of murder and conspiracy to commit murder, and all received a death sentence. Except for Linda Kasabian, the only family member that was present at both Tate and LaBianca murders who did not kill anyone. Kasabian was given immunity for her testimony against the others, Manson included.
As far as anybody knows, Manson's murders were mainly on the West coast, mostly in Southern California. Manson and his followers wandered up and down the west coast from below L.A. to Washington state. There are always unsolved murders and missing persons that are never found, so who knows. You can't hang a man on speculation.
No he did not. Charles Manson is a mass manipulator and could also be consider a Cult Leader to some extent. He provided the weapons drugs, vehicle and picked out the people that he wanted killed, but there is no evidence that he ever physically killed anyone himself. He killed your Mum
PCH=0The Manson Family killed Sharon Tate, her 3 house guests and one other person at one location, and the LaBianca couple at another location. The two crime scenes had 7 victims, and it was these multiple murders for which the Manson Family was charged. Manson was never charged with murder, but was charged and convicted of conspiracy as the head of the "family" that committed the homicides. A link can be found below.Manson was charged and convicted of 1st degree murder. (7 in fact) California law states that a person that orders a murder is just as guilty as the person that actually commits the murder. He was found guilty of 7 counts of 1st degree murder and was eligible for the death penalty by special circumstances that are built into death penalty cases. You are not eligible for the death penalty on a conspiracy conviction.Manson, Patricia Krenwinkle, Susan Atkins and Leslie Van Houten all received death penalties but their sentences were commuted to life in 1972 after a Supreme Court desision making the death penalty illegal on the grounds that it was cruel and unusual punishment. The Supreme Court obviously did not visit the Tate, LaBianca crime scenes.References:Helter Skelter by Vincent Bugliosi.
