Do guns necessarily lead to crime?
No. There was crime before there were guns. I collect guns. My children and grandchildren are hunters and target shooters. I do not commit crimes, nor does my family. People that want to commit crimes will do so, with or without a gun.

Owning a firearm does not make one person more likely to commit a crime. There is at least 1 firearm in about 1/3 of all US households- but 1/3 of the US population does not commit murder. You are looking for a correlation that does not really exist.
