you don't need a degree to become a photographer at any level really. Just a great portfolio of what you have done so far. Please, understand you need to focus on bread and butter degree for college, such as accounting or finance or teaching degree, etc. These are jobs that need to be filled and you can finance your hobby or dream job such as Photography. If you want to make money as a photographer then focus on weddings, portfolios, etc. If you want to make big money then go to L.A and follow the movie stars to get real juicy photos you can sell for big money.
