I suppose running for the office could be done at any age over the age of majority unless there is a statute or constitutional provision in a state for a state position that requires an older age. Under the US Constitution, to become a Member of the House, you would still have to be at least 25.

To run for office you in to be 25 years old, a citizen (can be naturalized), and live in the district you run in. Next you need money and support from local people and the political party.
