Sure. " Finders keepers, losers weepers".

It depends on what you've found. A five-dollar bill can be difficult to trace to its original owner; but a wedding band or domestic animal obviously would belong to someone who is probably searching for it.

ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!!!

if you find something it does not become yours! heck, if your honest and return it, who knows, if it isn't very important to the person who lost it they might even let you keep it!

last year in school my friend found $20 that some one dropped. Being the kind person she is she told the person in the office that she found some money laying around and was wondering if any one had reported that they lost $20. The lady said no and told her if she didn't hear anything by the end of the week she could have it. sure enough that Friday she became $20 dollars richer!

today my cousin got mad at me because he found something at recess and thought he could keep it. he was showing it off to some people not knowing they were friends with the person who might have lost it. on the way out of school he was fighting with the people who said it was their friends and a teacher over heard. she stopped them and asked them what was going on.they told her and she told my cousin that it didn't belong to him and that he needed to let the other boys give it to their friend tomorrow morning.

while walking across the cross walk a kid in my grade who is friends with my cousin told him you should have just told them you found it at home! i turned around and said " NO he shouldn't have!" my cousin yelled back next time don't talk unless you know what your talking about! i said " i did know what i was talking about, you said 'look at this isn't it soooooooo cool? i found it at recess.' you said ' i FOUND it at RECESS' i think i know what i was talking about!"

lets say you lost something that meant the world to you, like the boy who lost what my cousin found at recess, i know him and he wore it to school EVERYDAY!!!! if you lost it you would or should expect some one to be kind enough to take a little time out of there day and report it to someone.

example: you lost your dog. you hang signs up every ware, report to the radio station and everything. now there's this person who finds your dog and decides 'i found this dog its mine after all there is a saying 'finders keepers, losers weepers.' yeah there may be a saying but it doesn't mean that's the way life is. some one will eventually find it and say 'hey isn't that the dog that Mr. Po Po is missing?' or who ever the dog belongs to.in the end its not worth it.

the true loser is the one who finds and keeps, and the true winner is the one you gives back when its not theirs!
