i think you need to be 18 to legally move out and i think at the age 16 you can get an emansapation and move out
in Missouri you can move out at 17, but you parents are still legally and medically responcible for you, meaning if you get arrested they have to come bail you out and pay court costs, and if you get hurt or have medical bills they have to pay them, only until you are 18 though. it is best to talk to your local police officers, seeing as they are the ones your parents would contact when they find you gone. they will tell you exactly what you can and can't do. my local police officers told me that my parents couldn't do anything as long as I'm alright, not kidnapped or anything like that.
By getting a job.
In NV a minor who is at least 16 can petition the juvenile court for emancipation. You better have a better reason then wanting to live with your baby
Check the laws of your state. Most states (with the exception of 1 or 2) require that a person be at least 16 years old in order to petition the court for emancipation. If your state will allow you to petition at 15, then you would have to prove, among other things, that you are capable of fully supporting yourself with no assistance and that there is a legitimate reason that it's in your best interest to be emancipated. Just not getting along with your parents or wanting more freedom is not going to be enough.
A father cannot petition for emancipation, the child has to. And it doesn't relieve him of paying back support payments.
No, you cannot get emancipated from just one parent. It sounds like maybe what you're wanting to do is live with the non-custodial parent? If so, then that's a custody issue, not an emancipation issue. An emancipation decree conferred upon a minor indicates that the minor is deemed a legal adult and does not require the intervention of other adults (including a parent) in financial or personal matters.
Emancipation laws vary by state. You need to check the laws of the state that you reside in. Be aware that not all states have an emancipation statute. At a minimum, you would have to provide a valid reason that emancipation would be in your best interest (*just* wanting to move in with Dad is not a valid reason) and prove that you are capable of fully supporting yourself, which doesn
yes because it is still kidnap
You'll have to go to court. As far as I know, there's no way around that. You'll have to prove that he can financially support himself. At that point, papers will have to be signed. By definition, emancipation requires going to court. Not all states have an emancipation statute that allow it to be done, and most of them require parental consent. If there arereasons that it isn't afe for him to be in the home, social services can find a foster home.
No. This would be a case for the CPS since she is a minor and needs a guardian. Her parents are still obligated to support her. Not wanting to is not an option. Missouri does also not have a early emancipation for minors.
Out of all the requests for emancipation, very few are granted. You have to prove severe abuse. If you are a female, getting pregnant will emancipate you. So will getting married (with parental consent). If you are just wanting to leave home, in Georgia you can leave at 17, and you cannot be forced to return. This is because you can now go to prison in Georgia at age 17. But you cannot be kicked out by your parents until age 18. Be aware that you can't legally sign a Lease or other Contract until age 18.
In most jurisdictions you live with your parents until you reach adulthood, usually 18, but could be higher. The other alternative is to get emancipated.
i don't think there is a statute if a parent wants to visit Missouri they should allow them to whether their interested or not
