For one, you may have a problem with both of you joining since the military doesn't like to put children in a situation where they could potentially be deprived of both parents due to deployment. Secondly the military I believe has it's own version of family court that actually works more efficiently than the civilian court system and they frown upon their soldiers not supporting their offspring.
