I believe that is a model 311. I have the same double barrel.
I know that if it has a plastic (tenite) forestock it also had a plastic buttstock. Manufactured probably in the 1940's or 50's.
Yes. I have one. It says Stevens right on the receiver.
I can't answer your question but I have a series 5 16 gauge. your post is the first time I've seen reference to this gun on the internet. M
You have a Ranger Model 30, which was a store brand made by Stevens as a Model 520. It was designed by John Browning, and has a slight humpback in the receiver. A Stevens version ranges in blue book value from $190 in 100% condition, to $75 in 60 % condition. Unfortunately, house brand guns bring less.
The Model 620 was produced from 1926-1945. sales@countrygunsmith.net
try the barrel or receiver.
AROUND 1961 OR 1962, BUT ONLY ON THE SAVAGE MODEL 24, WHICH REPLACED THE STEVENS 22-410.
that is pretty vague but it should say Stevens favorite on the top of the receiver and have j stenens tool company on the left side of the barrel.
Yes.
It should be in the right side of the receiver, (small numbers)
All my records indicate that stevens did not make a model 337 shotgun. If your stevens shotgun is marked U337 under the receiver, this would be a serial number, not a model number.
The Stevens High Power was available in four grades. The lowest grade (425) has a plain walnut stock & forearm. The Blue Book of Gun Values, 25th Ed suggests a value of $295 in 60% condition and $650 in 100%. The next step (430) has a checkered stock and forearm and values are listed as $450 and $950. The 435 has fancier checkering and engraved borders on the receiver and lever, $650-$1400. Top of the line (440) has engraved game scenes on the receiver and engraving on the forearm tip, $1000-$2950.
