No, it isn't. But the fact that you can grab a music video, and just take the song out of it to listen, that could make it illegal. <-----------This is so wrong! If anybody believes this you would have to believe that any portable radio that had a built in cassette player that could allow you to record straight from the radio or had a record input jack (MIC JACK) from the 80's was an illegal device! C'mon? Seriously? then add a VCR, DVR or any recording device that is able to be hooked into any media format a completely illegal machine! DIRPY IS AN EDITING TOOL PLAIN AN SIMPLE! IT ALLOWS YOU TO RIP AUDIO THATS ALREADY BEING SHARED TO BEGIN WITH!!! NOT TO MENTION IF YOU WANT TO GET LEGAL EVERYONE IS ENTITLED TO THE FAIR USAGE RIGHTS! And your covered as long as your not trying to distribute your media (MP3"S, WAV or any audio) in return for profit!!! IT ONLY BECOMES ILLEGAL WHEN YOUR TRY TO SELL YOUR RIPPED AUDIO FOR MONETARIES COMPENSATION...MONEY!!! Those are the facts!!!

A proud DIRPY supporter and user!
