Dating is not illegal, if sex isn't involved, but since i know it is, i will clarify that, yes, it is illegal, ridiculous and irresponsible. Grow up and be someone in life first. Neither have anything to offer each other. Why cant the 18 year old get another dumb 18 year old? Kids are just so thoughtless and ignorant.

Anybody can "date" whoever they like, legally, with or without parents permission. It is, however, illegal in Canada for anyone to have a sexual relationship with a person under the age of 16. Therefore the 18 year-old would be committing a crime by practicing sexual acts with the 14-year-old girl.

There are no laws regarding dating in Canada. And the law says that a 15 year old can consent to sexual activity if the other partner is not more than 5 years older then they are.
