Texas Penal Code § 16.02: So long as a wire, oral or electronic communication - including the radio portion of any cordless telephone call - is not recorded for a criminal or tortious purpose, anyone who is a party to the communication, or who has the consent of a party, can lawfully record the communication and disclose its contents. NO
Not if you are a party to that conversation.
There are 2 different opinions here...ANSWER 1:No it is not, as long as the person recording is a party to the conversation. ANSWER 2:I was just searching & reviewing the laws for Oklahoma last week, concerning whether it's legal to secretly (or without all parties knowledge) record a conversation. I do know that in Oklahoma only 1 party of the conversation needs to consent to the recording, if it is a face to face conversation. However, if over the telephone, I'm real sure that all parties of the conversation have to formed at the beginning of recording.See Oklahoma Statutes Annotated, Title 13, § 176.4(5)
yes
Colorado is a one-party consent state, which means it is legal to record a conversation as long as one person involved in the conversation consents to the recording. However, it is illegal to record a conversation if you are not part of the conversation and do not have consent from at least one of the parties.
In Pennsylvania, it is illegal to record a conversation without the consent of all parties involved.
It depends on the circumstances.
In Pennsylvania, it is legal to record an in-person conversation as long as one party consents to the recording. This means that you can record a conversation that you are a part of without informing the other party. However, it is illegal to record a conversation that you are not a part of without the consent of all parties involved.
You must have the consent of the other party only then can you record the conversation.
It is illegal to record employees without their knowledge. It is not illegal to place surveillance cameras in the work place but other covert means like bugging offices are illegal.
