Yes...it was. I don't live in Connecticut, although it was all over the news. Most things on the news is most likely right.

* A "guy" went in the school and was shooting kids from Kindergarten to 4th grade. Teachers were also shot too. Adults kept kids safe. One little girl pretended to be dead when the shooter came in the classroom, she put blood on herself. (This is all the information I know, it may not be accurate, so you can look it up)

No, and there are several reasons why the Conspiracy Theory flock have been flapping about this almost from the day it happened.

Writer, investigator, and magazine editor Ben Radford laid down at least three reasons for this phenomenon. Radford hypothesized in an article published within weeks of the shootings that the rumors of government charade may have been the result of the poignant political implications raised by Lanza's use of firearms to kill his victims, and the ongoing debate in the US over stricter gun laws. Additionally, Radford pointed at the appearance of holes in the official story, and in truth the local sheriff who led press conferences did not provide complete details. In truth, complete details are rarely if ever released by investigating law enforcement officials. To do so would potentially prejudice the public view and make prosecution of culpable individuals difficult or impossible under the American system of justice. Additionally, as is true with most large criminal investigations, the bugs come out of the woodwork, and LEOs are forced to chase down every spurious claim of involvement. Additionally, the hard-wiring of the Conspiracy Theorist brain itself may have contributed to the rise of ludicrous claims. Where most sane people see confusion and grief, hard wired Conspiracy Theorists see misdirection and machination. The fact is that in traumatic situations like the Sandy Hook shootings, officials rely heavily on eye witness accounts to begin their investigations. While eye witness accounts are a valid and valuable investigative tool, such are quite unreliable and notoriously inaccurate. Where most people understand that different people see different details, the paranoid mind sees a plot. Every new realization, every bit of new evidence uncovered that might disagree with initial reports falls prey to the unassailable, "Nu uh," of the conspiracy theorist; simple denial and dismissal effectively deal with contradictory information for the myopic conspiracy theorist.
