You can always roll the dice and appeal your sentence to the Court of Appeals. You might do better - you might do worse. You don't say what you were convicted of but it sounds like a pretty lenient sentence to me. If you behave yourself in jail you might even gain some "good time" and be released to house detention earlier.

Are back end solutions reduce overcrowded prison?

Back end solutions alone may not directly reduce overcrowding in prisons. To effectively reduce prison overcrowding, a comprehensive approach that includes both back end solutions, such as alternatives to incarceration, and front end solutions, such as prevention and diversion programs, is needed.

How many months and days does it kill a state year in prison in KY?

In Kentucky, a sentence of one year in prison is equivalent to 12 months. However, when calculating time served for good behavior, inmates can earn credit, which may reduce their time in prison. Generally, for every day served, they may earn a certain number of days off their sentence, depending on the nature of their crime and behavior in prison. Thus, while one year is 12 months, the actual time served could be less.
