What are the advantages and disadvantages of gun banned?

The pros to the right to bear arms are...

-Guns owned by law obiding citizens can be used as self defense. Or as a scare tactic to intimidate criminals.

-Guns are also used for recreational activity, such as hunting, or for shooting ranges.

The cons are...

-Criminals can get theirhands on them... and we all know that's not good.

-Children getting their hands on them and missfiring them, possibly killing someone.

Possible solutions...

-Stricter background checks when someone is purchasing a gun.

-Rifles or shotguns are to be dissassembled, trigger losks on handguns, and all firearms to be kept in safes.

The advantages is slightly less gun related crime for a short period of time and fewer accidental killings with fire arms. The disadvantage is that many criminals would simply buy guns at the black market and raise crime significantly knowing nobody besides them have a gun to defend themselves all in all guns both cause crime and deter it.

One pro to having a gun is protection in the home. One con of guns is the criminals who use them for crimes.

Main problem- criminals do not obey laws, and the laws are not effective in controlling criminal acts.
