The Model 12 Remington was offered in a few different variants. Would need to know more information on that specific rifle, and most importantly have the opportunity to see the condition of the rifle in order to appraise the value. If you have a digital camera, you can send us some detailed photos. Value range from $125-$500. sales@countrygunsmith.net
Based on the serial no that must be a model 12C made in 1917. The value of a model 12 is greatly dependent on condition and can be worth anywhere from 100 - 1,200 for a mint new in the box. A model 12 in good condition, (not collector condition) is generally valued in the 300-500.
Rather than serial numbers, the DOM of a Remington may be determined by the barrel code. Two or three letters stamped on the LEFT side of the barrel immediately in front of the receiver (frame) you may need a magnifier and a strong light to read them. Then look up your code using the link at the bottom of this page.
This is a model 12C and RW isn't really part of the serial no, it stands for Remington Works. Maybe on the date code for some but not for this one since it was made in early 1920 before they started the date coding the barrels.
That is a Remington Model 12 (round barrel probably a 12-A) based on the serial this was made in 1912 and before they put the model 12 on the left side of the receiver. The RW stands for Remington Works and is really not part of the serial no. Excellent little rifles and very much a collector in better condition.
It is a Remington Model 12 .22 cal. pump
That's a patent date not a manufacture date, sounds like a model 12 w/ serial I can date it. With a GOOD description of condition I can estimate a value. (also 22 lr, round or octagon barrel)
Is was made in 1919, that is the patent date. I suspect I have the patent posted in the patent section of the Gallery on the Remington Society of America if you want to see it...
$500
It's either a 12-C or CS depending on if it's a 22 lr or 22 Remington Special. It's worth between 100 bucks for parts or 1,500 for like new in the box, all depends on condition condition and condition.
browning and Remington are two different companies, its not possible to have one companies gun under another companies patent.I beg to differ! I have a Remington model 81 woodmaster in 300sav.caliber that is made by remington and has John M.Brownings patent marked right on the barrel.Brownings patent for the remington models 8,and 81 were from the year 1900.The Remington model 8 was made from 1906-1936,and the model 81 from 1936-1950.All Winchester model 1886 rifles were made under a patent frpm John M.Browning.If you can re-post your question with the model number of your Remington, and caliber along with a 2 or 3 letter code found on the barrel of your firearm,I will be able to date your firearm for you.
I have a octagonal barrel .32 caliber Remington Patent date May 3, 1864 - What would it be worth?
go to Remington web site they can help you as they did with my 870 wingmaster
.22 WRF or .22 Remington Special
Depends a lot on what type of rifle, patent alone doesn't cut it.
