If your headlights go out while you are driving, you can try switching to your high beams. When you get home, you can replace the bulbs.
Brake lights should NOT be effected by the headlights. Brake light function is completely independent of the headlights. Assuming you are not refering to the tail lights, or marker lights, which are supposed to come when the head lights are turned on. Not having brake lights when the head lights are on is a big safety problem and should be corrected.
Is it locked?? It should go off.
Check the dimmer setting for the dash lights. There should be a dial to adjust the brightness on the dash to the left of the steering wheel.
head lights Jeep Wrangler 2004. They don't work where should I start
The alternator is probably getting weak and not charging as much as it should. The belt could be loose and slipping some.
On my 2004 Modus the lights automatically go out as you open the drivers door.
The head light relay should be marked in the relay centre.
how do i find a short in my head lights ,tail lights work but not my head lights
I've researched this on the Internet and apparently the trip odometer button also serves as the dimmer for the dashboard lights. If you turn it (anti)-clockwise, your dash lights should come on. Its mentioned obscurely in the manual.
my head lights wont come on ,,all other lights work ,,no head lights
This sounds like a bad light switch. The head lights are usually wired seperately from all other lights so the only common point is at the switch.
bad fuse or relay switch
