Their a few noted street gangs in the Southwest Detroit area.

Such as Latin Counts, Sureno 13, Cash Flow Posse and many more. Back when I lived in Southwest Detroit you had the Counts, Spanish Cobras, Del Rey Mafia, X -men, Cash Flow Posse, and other defunct gangs. But I'd say the most violent and organized are the Latin CountsWhich has a few different sects in the area You have Toledo Ave Counts And H.S.C. So yes their are still gangs in SW Detroit...

I grew up in SWD (southwest detroit) and yes their are many street organizations in SWD, such as those above plus others like latin dragons, bloods (rollin 20's NHB), crips, vice lords. Although the main ones to date (10-25-09) are latin counts, surenos 13, and cash flow possie. I believe cobras are still active on the streets of SWD, because they are in the prison system.
