Very few Filipinos have a sense of history that is why we keep on repeating it. Some people would argue that the Filipinos have learned their lesson and would move on from then on, but they are mistaken. Today, we are in a time were the Constitution prohibits the union of the Church and the State and we could still observe that the Church is a potent force in Philippine politics. How much more if such union exists? We would be living in a country manned by the clergy.
