Many counties have websites that provide free access to public records such as property records, vital records and jail records. You can access the websites for all 50 states and each county within the states thru "Free Public Records Directory" at http://publicrecords.onlinesearches.com/

You can also search the available public records by city, state and type through the same website.

ARREST records?? Probably not, simply due to the sheer amount of administrative workload, no tto mention the cost, to transfer all that information to a computer file on a daily basis. This is not to say that some jurisdictions might do it, I'm just not aware of any that do. The records ARE so-called public records and you are entitled to go to the police station to examine them and write down information, but as mentioned above, that is quite likely going to be your only option.

Depending on what it is that you are wanting to find you could us a telephone directory, try your local library or if you are looking online the datacenter has access to sections for different areas of public records.

There are numerous websites available online for people to search public arrest records both free and for a fee. Individual state and local records can be searched in person at the records office often located at the local, state, or federal courthouse in the area.
