Thomas Jefferson and James Madison were HUGE supporters of the Bill of Rights, along with most of the Republicans, who were once known as the Antifederalists because of their staunch opposition to the Constitution in its original format.

The Bill of Rights
Thomas Jefferson, patric henry, and richard henry lee
Two years after the constitution went into effect, ten amendments were added to the document. it was felt that the constitution did not list the rights that should protect all Americans. The constitution assumed that because the powers of the government were specific and limited, a statement of rights was not needed, but as the states began to ratify the constitution in 1787 and 1788, they insisted that a Bill of Right be added.
To protect their rights.
Because they wanted (No, they insisted on and demanded) a Bill of Rights.
It's the first ten amendments. James Madison and the Federalists insisted on its creation in order to ratify the constitution
The argument for adding the Bill of Rights to the Constitution was to protect individual freedoms of the citizens.
