Norway is a Consitutuional Monarchy, like England- it's present reigning monarch is Harald V, but his role is really that of ceremonial Head of State, without any real political power. The current Prime Minister is Jens Stoltenburg, who has been in office since '05 - he was PM once before for a year, in 2000/01, and also served variously as Finance Minister, Trade and Industry Secretary and Environment Secretary in various Norwegian Governments throughout the '90s.
