If it's not his, the mother. see related link
Yes. However, if you are receiving Medicaid and/or TANF, your refusal might affect your eligibility.
If confirmed, the father. If not, the mother, though most likely the state. see link
The person requesting the DNA test for establishing paternity rights is the person who pays for the testing to be done. If the alledged father is the one to request the testing and it results in his being shown not to be the biological father he may be able to recover his expenses via a civil suit against the mother of the child.
If the court has established a child support order, violating the order and refusing to pay child support carries penalties up to and including jail time. If the order was established before a paternity test can be taken, you must still pay the child support. If the paternity test reveals that you are not the father, you will be reimbursed for the child support that you paid.
I don't think so, he waived his rights
They can do a DNA test with Amnio fluid. I think the test is like 3000 dollars though.
If no paternity test was ever done can someone have the court order a DNA test?
You have to get to determined with a DNA test and if she does not agree you have to go to court. If you are the father you can take the child instead of having it adopted.
This depends on the state. In some, if the man is not the father, he's not obligated to pay, while in others he is. If he is the father, he's obligated to pay in nearly every state, plus all court costs. see relate link on post cases
The employer.
The name on the birth certificate is not as important as actual parentage. a DNA test will supercede whatever's on the BC. Therefore, if you're talking about the actual genetic father, Child Support can be invoked by the court.
Hospitals charge you for everything with the exception of the air you breath (and they just might consider that one too! LOL) Although the process of taking blood and testing the genetics as to who the father is, it's still an expensive test and here in Canada it's approx $1200 for that test to be done. Prices may vary. If you have a family doctor talk to him/her and see what your alternatives are. Good luck Marcy
