Why are whites racist?

Because of ignorance passed down from generations. There is no real reasoning behind this, it's just a learned thing from their culture. The majority if whites have low self esteem so in order to keep their "heads up", they had to conjure up ways to make them "seem" superior. If you think a certain way about yourself for a long enough period, you begin to believe what you think.

So, the strategy is to make other ethnic group, incorrectly called minorities, believe that they are inferior. Now, for the disclaimer, this is not to lump all whites into this "hate" category. Many whites are "progressive" in their thinking and realize that we are all equal as humans. But, the majority of the white population will even in secret or with "innocent" intention think that they are superior.

This is wrong and far from any rational behavior. To correct this skewed mindset, they would have to admit that they are responsible for their actions, thoughts and beliefs. Hopefully they would join the rest of the human race and request forgiveness for the worst slavery in history (MAAFA) great and terrible tragedy imposed upon Africans during the Transatlantic Slave Trade. Perhaps they would give truth to the fact they tried to destroy Native Indians and stole the land form under them. Perhaps they would want to apologize for the economic devastation imposed upon Haiti and other countries globally. Maybe they would pull out of Australia or at the very least respect the indigenous people, Aborigines.

And last but not least, stop trying to look like the very people they hate!

Answer: Racism isn't unique to whites. Every race, culture, sub-culture, religion, class, social class, or what not will experience racism when ever they achieve an advantage.

Answer: Some whites are racist because of reasons that are not always so obvious as is the same with any racist of any race or color. Some reasons include feeling threatened by or inferior to another race, so to make up for the insecurities one displays a hateful attitude. Other reasons are quite the opposite, as the racist may feel superior to other races and think it's their duty to their race to threaten, abuse, and eliminate anyone not like them.

Back when Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King were around, they were treated unfairly, and the whites were treated better than them. So, today some think that still applies to them, that they're better, but the fact is that they are not.

The single largest cause of racism is the attitude instilled by parents and peers. Even if someone feels that it is morally wrong, it is difficult to challenge your upbringing and the way all of your friends think. Of course, it could also mean that you have the wrong friends.

Because White people enslaved African Americans and made them property. They treated them like animals and didn't let them have a life. They thought because of their color they didnt desreve to be the same.

There used to be and probably still exist some politicians who tried or try to convince people that a nation or a group of people can be inferior to the others because of the colour of their skin or the origin of the nation or because of their religion.
