There are many ways of getting ill. Before the process, germs, bacteria or viruses, in other words micro-organisms, must enter the body, through the mouth, or anywhere else. Once inside, the germ/virus will find some of your inside cells. The virus in a proper picture has loads of little spikes to grip on to the cell. Once it sticks, it injects all of its DNA into your cell making the viruses multiply rapidly until there is no more room inside your cell. The cell then bursts, throwing all of the replicas of the old virus out into the body once again, and the process repeats hundreds of times, until eventually you become very ill. Older people's bodies do not have the energy to fight the viruses off, therefor letting the viruses increase, until the body cannot take it any more and the person dies. Luckily our doctors these days have good strong medicines that kill off viruses, so go to the doctors quickly if you catch anything unknown to you or your family.
