Depends if you are being approached in a store by the usual sales assistant,in which case this is a perfectly normal practice,,however..if you have a sales person on the telephone or door sales person,then this practice can be classified as intimidation,if they keep harrassing you to buy. Usually, these sales fall under the consumer credit Act Law -whereby you are given a minimum of 7 days cooling off period ,even after agreeing to sign any document[s] to purchase,since you would have the right to cancel/or change your mind during this period. If you keep getting harrassed by salesman after you have done the above and changed your mind..then this would construe as harassment and you should report the matter to Police.
