Yrd. Regardless of age, mostly starting at the age of twelve, the judge will normally grant the child's wishes. There has to be a reason though, you cant just go into cocurt and say i dont want to live with this person anymore. Some states you have to be 16 in order to just leave. When you are 16 if you want to move with a different parent you can! But any age before that you have to go to court and get a custodial family arrangement. Like if you feel one paretn cares for you more than the other or one oarent is mean to you, emotionally, physically, the judges take all that information into consideration.
In Missouri, a 13-year-old child cannot legally choose which parent to live with. The court will consider the child's preference as one factor among many when deciding on custody arrangements, but the final decision will be based on the best interests of the child.
In some cases, a 13 year old may be able to live with an 18 year old if approved by a legal guardian or social services. However, it is important to consider the maturity and responsibility of both parties, as well as any legal requirements or regulations in place regarding age differences in cohabitation.
Until you are 18 you need parental permission to move out but at your age someone must have custody of you. If your parents give up their parental rights you could end up in foster care. They could also give custody to someone else. If you just left at 13 you would be a runaway.
i think its 12 or 13 w/ parent consent, or 18 and over. im not sure though, so you should go and look up South Carolina piercing and tattoo laws. hope this helped.
It would be illegal for you to have a sexual relationship with a teacher at age 13. In most cases it would be illegal until age 18. I'm sorry, but I think you'll have to wait a couple of years to have sex with anyone at all. 13 is just an unnatural age to be performing sexual intercourse.
yes probably
I'm in KCMO, and no. see links below
In Washington State, there is no specific age at which a child can decide which parent they want to live with. However, the court may take the child's preferences into consideration if they are deemed to be mature enough to express reasoned and intelligent opinions about their custodial arrangement. Generally, older teenagers, around the age of 14 or 15, are more likely to have their preferences considered by the court.
You may have some voice in deciding which parent you would live with, but beyond that you really have very little choice.
13
well I think that when you turn 13 you can choose what parent you want to live with. But that's just my opinon.
You have to be 13 years of age.
I believe it is 13-years-old.
18. But if it goes to court the court might ask the child who he wants to live with if he is around 15yo and the court might follow his wish but is not obligated to.
i wish it was 13 because i want more time with my dad. but its legally 18.
It depends on the state, but most states have a certain age set where the child can decide which parent they want to live with. Usually, it is around 13 or 14, but it can be different. If your child hasn't reached that set age, then they must continue to live with the custodial parent.
A minor can never decide where to live so no, but at 13 a judge would listen to their opinion and reasons to why want to move.
