"Provided the animal is of a size not larger than a fully-grown male potbelly pig (later this was corrected to a maximum length of 150cm and maximum height of 50cm), and is not smaller in length than the average chicken (for some reason they chose not to fix this), the State of Indiana deems it acceptable for the animal to be contained within the rear enclosure (covered or not) of a utility vehicle.
The animal must be in generally 'good' physical condition - i.e. the animal must have a minimum of four operational legs (?), and be of sound mental health to avoid the animal leaping from the vehicle whilst traveling."
