The light on the drivers side replacing the side mirror is used for a more direct light source. for example if they were looking for something at night they would be better able to see what was going on. It doesn't mean anything, it's just another tool. A literal tool, not like the metaphorical tool sitting in the drivers seat. If there are no available female officers, a male officer may do it. And if the search was conducted incident to arrest, meaning at the time of an arrest, on the street, through your pockets and purse and such, then whoever is on the scene, male or female, would be the officer to conduct that search.
It would depend on the circumstances and evidence the cop has. If the officer believes there is probable cause connecting you to the pipe, they could potentially arrest you. However, you have the right to consult with a lawyer if you are detained or arrested.
As soon as your parents call the cops, they will be looking you. Only for only a little while, though. After that they will just keep there eyes open for you, but you can walk by a cop and most of the time they won't even do anything. Trust me, I know from experience.
Flashing headlights can mean different things, often signaling a warning about a potential hazard or alerting you to a problem with your vehicle. It can also be a signal for you to dim your high beams if they are too bright. In some cases, law enforcement officers may use flashing headlights as a signal to pull over for a traffic stop.
Yes you can go to jail for having a scale in your car. It is mandatory one year. i have been arrested for it. I was in a parking lot with a couple friends, we had a blunt rolled, and had over an ounce and a half, and a scale. The cops came and searched the car, found everything asked whos it was, and right away i took full blame for everything. they cuffed me immediatly, and put me in the back of the car. I was then held with out bail, went to court, and then was told it was mandatory to do one yr for the scale. My lawyer was so good that she got my case dissmissed, because the cop didnt bring in any of the evidence. I then got off with 6 months continuence with out a finding (6 months probation). I had to pay $365.00 for probation fees, i was then clear and got it off my record. Yes you can go to jail for having a scale in your car. It is mandatory one year. i have been arrested for it. Yes, you can be.
With probable cause, yes he can.
Only if they don't have probable cause.
yes, but only after they arrest you
No, loud music does not establish probable cause to search your car. Unless the cop has a warrant or your permission to look through the car, the search is illegal. Always remember, if a cop says, "Do you mind if I take a look through the car?" or something like that, it means he doesn't have the right to search your car without your permission, so you should always say, "no." Saying "no" doesn't give him the right to search the car. It means he can't.
Stand still - and accept it ! If they have grounds to carry out the search - and you try to stop them - you can be charged with obstruction !
yes and no
yes, because it is still a cop's car... he/she just isn't in it at the precise moment.... my car is still my car even if I'm not in it
That seems to be probable cause to search, so I'd say yes. Although it depends on your state laws.
Totally! He is a cop =D
not if you let him search it
