It's not always.

A person must have the desire for it, and even after achieving it, finds that it's not a walk in the park. There are other lawyers, you can't just hang out your shingle and be inundated with exciting and nation changing cases.

Usually you are working very hard - just trying to get on with an existing firm. Or working even harder to start a practice of your own. You and a half dozen others in a town of 10,000, and a dozen more for each additional ten thousand!
