Y'all is a particularly southern expression (United States) that, despite being attractive and welcoming, is not easily translated to other languages in its warmness.
For "hey y'all" in French, at least in some areas of Canada, you might try "comment ca va!" which translates to "how goes it!" in a folky and friendly manner, and considered much less formal than "comment allez-vous".
