In Japanese, yes. for any of the Latin/Germanic languages, I don't think so.

Rai indicates "next," but cannot be used alone. It must be used as a prefix. Combined with words like week, month, and year give you:

RAINEN- next year

RAISHU- next week

RAIGETSU- next month

etc.

Rai is also used (much less commonly in modern times) as a phrase, meaning "come here" or "return to me."
