started dancing on her own and it was then that her family decided to provide her formal education in dance. She was enrolled in a famous dance school

and practiced with much zeal and enthusiasm.

By the age of 17 she had presented 75 stage programmes which had all been widely appreciated.

On May 2, Sudha's

legs were badly injured by a serious accident. She was taken to the nearest hospital. Her leg was plastered. When the plaster was opened, the doctors discovered that her leg had developed gangrene. In order to save her life, her leg had to be amputated. Because of this, there was a risk of her not being able to continue her dancing career.
